IMPORTANT
THAT YOU READ EVERYTHING!
Well, I finally made this tutorial. Let's say I had it coming to
me because I basically stalled after making a vectoring tutorial
for Photoshop and PSP(ugh disastrous program). We are going to do
it completely different from the way I do mine.. Why? Simply because
no one else should be like me -- duh!
First of all,
don't be threatened by what I do because I am an artist and I have
a creative way of thinking but it was developed. If you are having
problems vectoring it means you just need a creative way of thinking
as well so after doing it a couple of times you will get it.
Ingredients
-- Um,.. I mean "things needed" (this step could be skipped
if you are familiar with using color...)
- Adobe Photoshop
5.5, 6 or 7
- Adobe Illustrator
8 or higher
- You should
also know if your pc can handle the pressure
- Creative
mind
- Some knowlege
of Photoshop/Illustrator
- Patience
I
am doing to vector a photo of me :-D why? because I am vain and
I love my pretty eyes (cough cough) Pardon my silly humor - we "designers"
sometime have silly humor. Plus if you think my eyes are pretty
you'll vector better - or not. Just click on the image on the left
(it will open in a new window).
-You can use
whatever photo you want just make sure that it is good quality.
1. This
step is optional:
Open jerilarge.jpg in Adobe Photoshop. Go to Filter -Artistic- Poster
Edges. This step only makes it easier for beginners (i did say it's
a little different from my type of vectoring).
Save the file....
If you dont
want to go through this step, save the image here:

Now to illustrator...
