Intro:
Well, this is one of the tutorials I wasnt looking forward to. I am not
a big fan of Paint Shop Pro but this is for friends who use the program
and have had problems and can't afford Photoshop. By the way, my vector
tutorial for Photoshop can be found here.
Made
possible by:
JascPaint Shop Pro 7
Dreamweaver MX
Ace FTP 2
I had to
do something simple since I havent used Paint Shop in two years. So, today
we are going to vector an orange! Joy! I know it's corny but I could manage
only that since I can't remember how to use the entire program as I wish.
As you know, Paint Shop Pro's image quality is usually not near as vibrant
as Photoshop!

vectorized
photo. Yours should come out like that or even better. =)

Requirements:
Paint Shop Pro (I believe all versions will work but it helps if you use
7), an accurate mouse, eye for color, patience.
-
Save
the image, orange.jpg and open
it in Paint Shop Pro.
-
Create
a new layer =) by going to Layer and choosing a New Rastor Layer (Vector
layers doesnt allow coloring) I have no idea whether this layer is
different from the other option.
-
Then
choose the lasso tool,
it's the tool that looks like a lasso
of course, haha.
Then you are ready to start just make sure two important windows are
opened while you are doing the vectors.
- One of
the windows have to look like this (Tool Options):
- The Second
is the layers Palette:
- To get
those windows open just right click on the grey parts of the toolbar
and to keep them opened at all times just make sure the top where the
"x" is has the arrow pointing upwards or they will minimize
while you do the vector - which isn't a problem.
Let's
begin! |
